Submarines in GD1938

What does the DOAS mean that is to the right of the info on the sub unit? I want to set my German subs so they disrupt the British convoys. How do I do that?

DOAS stands for Do Anti Supply. Which is how to make them intercept the supply network. Also anything that is transferred by ship will have a chance to get sunk.
