Unit background

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Unit background

Post by mikematotski »

Hi

I noticed that some of the graphics backround for units pic is same for different terrain types, example woods both winter and summer using same as summertime forrest background, fields both winter and summer use summertime plain background etc. Is it possible to change the background to the units pic to get it right and add some new backgrounds?

Cheers

Hi Mike,

Given the game has been out for 3 years, probably not.

Are you saying Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa is an old game and there will be no more corrections, improvements or patches? [:@]

Hi

I really hope you are wrong here, 3 years is not long time for an excellent strategy game. It often take 1-2 years to polish a game and after that it need time for improvments. It's often the players that give the most improvements after a time when they played several time. So in short this need to to be an issue for VR to correct bc it's a little enoying to have this kind of simple error, it cant take long time to correct this kind of error.

Cheers

So do I.
I'm shocked and upset about Cameron's answer.

Hi,

It's not something that's in my control. Vic's usually pretty good about long term improvements and it might be best if he answered the question.

He does, and we credit him that. I am very happy that VR Designs Games are not disposable products!
Thanks Vic.

I am planning a big update to all DC games after Shadow Empire has been released. Will mostly focus on a big user interface improvements at that point, but I'll also see if some graphics can be improved.

This is slated for 2019 however. But I rather take my time and do a comprehensive update than small (and time costly) small changes.

Best wishes,
Vic
