Would it be possible to have a randomization off option?

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

It can be done via the editor in about 3 minutes. Just change "combat losses +/- (attacker)" and "combat losses +/- (defender)" from 1 to 0 in the "Campaign->Combat Data" menu option (for all units). I played one campaign using this.

What I found: The is a bit of randomization left since retreating units don`t hit back. It is tempting to use kind of gamey moves attacking at "0:0" odds (especially against resources with idle fighters and ships) just to "farm" experience. Without the danger of random losses there is no more reason not to do this.
Other than that it seems to work quite well. Overall the game got a bit easier against the AI, so you might want to turn up your preferred difficulty level a notch.

But honestly, I did not miss those combat results where 1:0 turned to 0:1 two times in a row screwing up your nicely prepared attack plan. [:D]

Nice! Thanks for the tip! I will turn retreats off to get rid of that as well. Yeah the randomness makes it frustrating and makes you want to keep reloading to get better results!

Cool I see I can do this for SC2 Global as well. Perfect!
