Newbie Bomb or Interdict

Post by tonyscrase »

Hi

If I am going to make a ground attack against an enemy unit
in the air phase is it better to bomb the unit or carry out an interdiction attack against it

Thanks for all the help I have received

depends .. hows that for clarity? [8D]

GA-attack is good if you are going to attack the hex, the idea is that you neutralise the combat power as anything you disrupt can't fight that turn.

GA-interdiction is on balance better, it slowly degrades and isolates the unit, less direct damage but you make it harder for it to supply or reinforce.

GS works well, you don't fly unless needed and it is sort of similar to GA-attack.

You'll usually take more losses on attack/GS than interdiction so that might feed into your judgement.

I tend to default to interdiction but use the attack mission if I am sure I am going to attack and really want the hex.
