Please explain new options

Thanks for the update to LSA. Not what I expected, but I'll take any kind of attention you are willing to give to these classic games.

Could someone please explain what some of the new options actually change? I'm not a technical person, so the jargon throws me off. I play in 800x600 on my 46" TV, and cannot see the difference with some of the options.

What is mouse lock for? What is UI scaling and front end scaling? What does the DPI option do?

I like the smoothing and slowing down of the scroll feature. However, I DON'T like playing CC in a window. I prefer full screen.

Most of the new options are designed for higher resolutions, and so will not be relevant at 800x600(!!). Mouse lock is for playing in a smaller window but still using the mouse for edge scrolling. Playing in a windows without the frame enabled will look like fullscreen too.
