Multiplayer: Axis keeps pushing my troops very easily

Playing as the Allies, I find that my troops can't hold their ground that good. They get pushed back very easily, is there a counter to this?

When does this happen? Poland 1939, France 1940 and USSR 1941?
In that case, your allied units will have low readiness and morale, while the Axis are in their prime.
Buy HQs, build up techs (a lot of them affect the combat results), and delay the advance, while building up a fighting force in the back (USSR).

It was a combined Poland and France in 39 with pretty good maneuvering. So yeah, maybe the surprise just killed these troops easily. Not sure why I am getting killed in Africa by the Italians though.

Poland, lol. Don't lose any sleep, don't even think about it. Toast. Now France, same thing, you're gonna lose, unless the opponent is Newbie and doesn't understand some basics. Minimize your UK losses in France. Hold until you gotta run out. Best defense, is Snow. Get a decent unit in Paris and cities for entrenchments. Keep the Brits in back, let them live. When the gig is up, get the Brits out. Don't do anything stupid, like get yourself killed. Africa is a whole different Beast. It can be attrition, Shock & Awe, or whatever you wanna bring to the party.
