FOW ON = NO VIEWABLE ENEMY TF

Post by jardail »

Yes I know that there are not supposed to be revealed enemy task forces, but aren't they supposed to be viewable to some extent when they are discovered during a search?

I'm just coming back to this game after a very long time, and I thought I remembered being able to see them when they were spotted by searcher planes or coast watchers. Am I wrong about that?

Right now, even when enemy ships have been spotted, the entire map stays completely devoid of TF markers.

When were they spotted? Were they spotted in the night-time phase? If so, and they moved again, their detection could have been cleared and therefore you wouldn't see them on the map.

When FOW is on even "spotting" reports may go unverified..
The number of times that same "target" is spotted, the odds of it getting to the map increases.

Ok, guess I'll need to do some more research on this. I thought it might be my graphics settings. I'll have to go back and look at all of these things. Thank you for your responses gents :)
