Bombers, Fighters and FlaK

Post by rob89 »

I noticed a strange thing ...

When the Bombers of the AI player attack a hex, directly or indirectly defended by a FlaK unit, the available fighters don't take-off to intercept, even if there are all the conditions (weather, range, mode, action points, etc.)

Am I wrong?

thanks

rob89 --- No, you are not wrong. Now, I must finish my weekend off after watching UFC 236 (which was amazing), Tiger Woods win the Masters, and now Game of Thrones. AA has higher priority of use. Only 1-unit is defending.

You want to play PBEM? Might get you off that A.I. search of perfection. I'll make you famous, get you on the Elvis Gold Records thread in the end.

Hi Rob,

There was a bug in there related to your report, that has been fixed for the next patch.

Oh man, I've been tearing my hair out in a Battle of Britain mod trying to figure out what I did wrong. Glad to know I can stop and wait for a solution.

Thanks Hubert.

Hi,

I found another "strangeness" ...
When a Fighter Group (airfield) is under attack by enemy aircraft, the fighters don't take-off to intercept, but it's another Group (if within the range) to do; otherwise, the massacre ... IMHO, it's a little too much for the "strafing" concept

regards

I believe it is the strongest interceptors will respond in this case, actually I believe in all cases.
