I can not save the game it crashes when I try. I tried to download 228B and it doesnt seem to have worked. Have same problem with my other game.

I am getting a message every time I save the game. First is that it is saving and then next message is Matrix games ATG is saving the game. I am choosing yes on both. I wonder if that is causing your crash. Except my DRS opponent installed the latest update and the game works fine for him now. He had a problem with the game crashing.

Talking about the 2.28b update for ATG.

There were 3 files I think that go in main area and 2 folders and yes I installed them to those areas.

I am playing 2 games of GD one works and one does not.

Can you check which version the player just before you is playing. You can see this in the info on the strategic map. (The one where you DOW a major or ally with them ordinarily).

I have the 228 update downloaded and I cannot figure out how to install the patch. Do you just click "run" and then it installs, or what do you do. I have tried the exe. file and it does nothing.

The patch is a Zipfile. With your zip file opener, place the files and folders in the directory of the main directory of the game. When it prompts you "do you want to overwrite" click yes and repeat for any other similar conflicts.

Do you mean the install zip file button on ATG. Or do I extract the file and then place it in ATG. What is the main directory of ATG? I am still not to good with computers.

No, using the Install function of ATG won't work. It does however unzip them to a subdirectory within the ATG main directory.

You could extract the file and then place the files in the ATG directory, which is what I called the main directory of ATG.

I unzipped the 228 update and now ATG will not open. I get an error message that says exemption on it. Any suggestions on how to fix this so I will not have to reinstall the game.

Are you sure you unzipped all the files and not just one? Try checking to see if you have the file: irrKlang.NET4.dll

I have the file you mentioned except it says:"irrKlang.Net.dll" There is no 4 after the NET.

You need to have both of those files.

My guess is you only extracted one file. The AdvancedTacticsGold.exe ... well it needs the rest of the files to function too. I suggest you extract the rest of them

I had the same issue, and extracted all the files.

The files I copied and installed are:
1)atgoldscenarios
2)graphics
3)AdvancedTacticsGold.exe
4)defaultmod.txt

Are these all the files.

I am also getting an error message that says it cannot load irrklang.Net4.dll.
