Manpower and oil consumption

Post by Titan »

Really like the fact that this has Oil and manpower considered in this, Commander Europe at war modeled this really well, The Axis player really had to consider when to fly and move Mech units as when oil got low it had an impact..Plus it made certain locations of Strategic importance...

How will oil and manpower be modeled on this....Example....lose it as you use it as in time a armoured unit or plane moves or does it go towards cost of Purchase?

Oil goes toward movement, attacking, supply, and maintenance. There are synthetic plants the German player gets over time.

Manpower is part of unit cost and replacement. When it is below 50% of maximum the default experience starts suffering.

Manpower mostly affects the Germans and the USSR both late war.

I hope UK too is severely affected by manpower!

Churchill was extremely concerned through the whole of the war so to even 'scheme' to arrange side-operations to delay the landing in France USA wanted to do since '42 instead of Torch to minimize losses - since Uk could field a limited army. And USA is similar fashion, while not having real manpower limits, limited the amount of ground forces.

Manpower is based on population. The UK also can draw on other nations for manpower. But this is what Beta testing is for.

Logistics and port supply is what limits the Allies in France and Italy. This needs to be tested in Beta to make sure it is balanced.
