Game erroring out

Post by carll11 »

I ran it twice, errored about same time and pace as I watched ...

I dont why the date is off and time..its 1530 here now this happened in last 20 minutes......but these are the latest errors...I am 5 turns in to the scenario.

2019-07-04 08:19:59 meedit.exe: [ERROR ID 100] (BitmapDD.cpp, line 32, XCBitmapDD::XCBitmapDD()) in XCBitmapDD::XCBitmapDD(), C:\Matrix Games\Campaign Series Middle East\graphics\units\3D\L-UP230032.bmp is corrupted, else is not a bitmap, else does not exist
2019-07-04 08:19:59 meedit.exe: [ERROR ID 500] (BitmapDD.cpp, line 89, XCBitmapDD::BitmapSurface()) for graphics\units\3D\UpXXXXXX.bmp, GetBitmap() error
2019-07-04 10:41:49 meedit.exe: [ERROR ID 100] (BitmapDD.cpp, line 32, XCBitmapDD::XCBitmapDD()) in XCBitmapDD::XCBitmapDD(), C:\Matrix Games\Campaign Series Middle East\graphics\units\3D\UP221047.bmp is corrupted, else is not a bitmap, else does not exist
2019-07-04 10:41:49 meedit.exe: [ERROR ID 500] (BitmapDD.cpp, line 89, XCBitmapDD::BitmapSurface()) for graphics\units\3D\UpXXXXXX.bmp, GetBitmap() error

Its game I created, I sniped the map as Berto suggested to make it manageable....its smalleer than several other maps Jason et al have crated for scenarios.

Looks like it is references some unit graphics that don't exist? Which units are you displaying?

I don't have my install with me, so can't confirm what those are.

well, I replayed the turn 8 one more time and it cycled through to completion, which I find even stranger than if we knew we hd a corrupt file or it was looking for a unit tht didn't exist......

I have to say, I am not totally surprised....the game gags, lags etc....after 3-4 turns its as if...a buffer has filled and it slows down, a lot......when I close it and start if fresh, its fine, for another 3-4 turns...then, slows down again.....

I know....I have played 2 more turns, no issues except the lag.

I dont have anything ( I can see) running in the background that would cause this.My desktop at works runs the game faster in every aspect, time to open say an OOB , in game etc. it all runs 2,3 times faster.

I have a cpu and pagefile monitor, cpu usage is low and the pagefile is quiet....beats me.
