GRAPHS AND QUESTIONS

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

GRAPHS AND QUESTIONS

Post by David Hansen »

I am at Aug 24,1942 as the AXIS...when I go to the reports tab and look at the MMP graphs I find this:

Russia collected=15,627...lost=17,608...total deficit=-1981 MPP's.

England collected=11,214...lost=16,006...total deficit=-4792 MPP's.

Does this mean that the starting units each country had at the start of the campaign are funding these deficits? Is it safe to assume each of these countries are now "weaker" than when the campaign started? The deficit has to be made up from something...right?

Germany collected=22,910...lost=8,589...net gain=+14,321.

Are these conditions fairly typical at this point in a campaign for Aug 1942?

Yup. Deficits can only be funded by your starting units being weakened or destroyed.

A big deficit for Russia is expected because they lose a pile of units in Barbarossa (including thousands of MPPs of units that are event-created only to be destroyed in turn 1)

I'm a bit surprised by the UK figure. Looks like they must have taken some very heavy losses in some theatres. (Oh, you're playing against the Allied AI... I'm guessing there isn't much Royal Navy any more ;) )

Deficits can also be counteracted by units already in the production queue or provided by scripts.

UK can rack up a big deficit by 42 if you go Sea Lion or if you manage to lure their navies into traps.

Thanks!

To date vs. the UK...3 battleships...2 heavy cruisers...2 cruisers...4 light cruisers...3 destroyers...2 carriers and 2 subs have been sunk by the Axis. The Italian surface fleet and the German wolf pack strategy has inflicted about the same amount of damage. The German surface fleet is about to engage in the battle for the Atlantic.

Yes...SP campaign...my first play through...learning the ropes vs. AI. My "experience" has been enhanced by reading all the forum posts and AAR's.

Also...all British forces have been defeated in both North Africa and Egypt.

Actually the numbers in the stats don't represent the correct MPP-losses, they are counting all losses at 100% of their initial acquisition costs.

In contrast replacements only cost 50% of that, and rebuying new units (except ships) 60%. The calculation isn't considering production tech also afaik.
