Some things in WiE that are different

Post by Mercutio »

I picked it up because it was on sale again, thanks!

Wow, the map is much bigger. I like it! I would pay for this scale in WaW in a dlc.

On a side note I keep thinking "Ok, I need techs for carriers in the pacific and checking on what is going on there". Oops, wrong game, my bad.

Some techs like Infantry Weapons and Advanced tanks are 200 vs 175. I am curious as to this decision.

Some techs cannot be double chitted (kind of sounds dirty) Like Infantry Weapons, Advanced Tanks, Advanced Fighters and Ground Attack weapons. I kind of like this as it prevents the Axis, who have all the MPPs early from teching up before others can even afford them. Why the change?

<edit> Man the MPPs for USSR are stingy. I guess you had to up them because of the Pacific front, but wow are they tight! </edit>

<edit2> Russia can go to Infantry Weapons 3! Why is that and why was it changed as well? </Edit2>

Still early in playing it. Both games are a blast, but I noticed these and hence my questions.

Best Regards!

Have fun! I guess the cutting of research costs for WAW had to do with retaining overall game balance as well as timeline when expanding things to encompass the whole globe.

Both WAW and WIE are great games, but if I were allowed to keep only one, it would definitely be WIE for me.

I just found out the Afrika Korp just deploys in Libya! In a wider map they get a free pass. In WaW if you win the Mediterranean naval battle as the allies, good luck sneaking in anything for the Axis.
