Daaamn.
Yes, that was my sentiment, too.
I thought I was doing ok around move 20 / 30,
but made some serious strategic mistakes:
(1) not asking for Japanese / Brazilian assistance earlier
(2) trying to cross the Adirondacks
(3) trying a Canadian invasion, on top of those mistakes
Not taking away from SF_slith's gaming acumen,
he won it on his own counter-offensives...
SO those paratroops that were stuck would not have helped me much, if any.
The game was all his from about move 30 onward,
and esp. when he gained the initiative around move 40 or so.
I think I am going to have to surrender.
It is a pretty fun scene, very strategic,
not sure if it has a PO.
Well suited to PBEM play, I think.
I think the scenario does need a tweak, though--to give air transport to the German paratroops.
Or maybe make them sea-borne capable, with an anchorage that they could use at the start to get to US soil, then use paradrops from a US airbase that the Germans might take later.
