Essentially what I did was to modify both of Bob Cross's scenarios with a new color file and changed the briefing text to reflect the new counter color changes I made (version 6.5 and 5.5 respectfully).
I went back to 1979 and stopped by the old SPI warehouse (lol just kidding) and grabbed the colors from SPI's The Next War and used them in place of the colors that Bob selected (I did not change the icons themselves only their colors).
I also don't use the standard terrain tiles that ship with game and I use a mixture of Telu's graphic mods, the RR mods, the rivers mods and Steve's number correction file (AIST file) and I think that these SPI colors mixes (while 1970-ish in style) look great on with my terrain mods (I can send a link to those terrain mods via Dropbox if there was any interest in those, but you can piece them together as well).

Canadian and UK difference (in color), very similar but slightly different.

I hope Bob (and others) likes the color changes, it does make it seem like the original board war game again, at least to me.
cheers
