Update already?

I've just been playing around with the game today, a couple of times with no problems, everything working ok.
Tonight I opened the game up and the update was flashing. I clicked and the update ran ok.
Now, when I run the game, I'm just getting some music for a while and a blank, dark grey screen????

Tried to overwrite the update from the link here but, still not loading the game up.
I've uninstalled the game and will install again tomorrow, see what happens.

Sometimes software messes up. There is always a chance an error is written. Always try rebooting 1st, check if Direct X is up to date and drivers are upto date

Well, this morning I have reinstalled and updated but, still not loading.
It gets to a white screen with 'UNITY' displayed, then goes to the grey
screen. I can hear the background music as it tries to load but nothing.
I then uninstalled everything again, loaded up the game without the update
and it loaded up perfectly and is playable. I've checked the dxdiag and all
is fine so, it seems the update is causing the problem?

Please try the following:
Rename the Folder named "WarPlan" as "_WarPlan" in your Windows documents folder at:
...\Documents\My Games
Run the game and check if the issue persists.

Thanks for the suggestion VPaulus. I've reinstalled everything
putting the _ WarPlan as the folder. Still the same unfortunately.
I have a few games with Slitherine/Matrix and have never had this
problem before.

If you like look in this file.

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\LocalLow\Kraken Studios\WarPlan\output_log.txt

Post the text file here. That is the Unity log file. Might give us some clues.

Also what machine do you have.
What OS do you have? Also see if it is 64b or 32b.

From what I can see, there isn't anything in the AppData folder, if I'm looking in the right place!
The laptop is WIN10 nd it has 32 and 64 bit.
I do notice that the Task Manager shows 32 bit attempting to install, not 64bit if that helps.
As I said before, I can't see how a game operates fine, only for an update to break it? I've never
had a Slitherine/Matrix game fail with any updates.
This is all becoming a bit too messy to put right.

Just to clarify, have you renamed the folder I told in the Documents\My Games?
Please note that this folder is not created when you install the game nor it's removed when you uninstall the game.

yes VPaulus, I removed the folder, reinstalled, renamed the folder
as you stated - documents/mygames/_WarPlan.
I've noticed that when I try to run the game, the launcher is 32bit
not 64bit? Also, despite having the mygame folder named, it still
creates a ''WarPlan'' folder as well?

game logos are missing on that screen after the
update. The 3 logos appear on the original Unity
screen before the update, if that helps.

Quick Start option is on the start menu in the Warplan folder..

Well, reinstalled the game, did the hotfix and the menu came
up as usual. I clicked on multiplayer, as I have a game set up
for me but it doesn't appear. (He set it up after updating his game).
So, I then clicked the update button in game and the same problem is
still happening?
I've tried the desktop shortcut, main game and Quick Start.
Glad it's not only me!
