Bug Report: WarPlan crashed after Windows User change

This may be more of a corner-case issue, but I thought I'd report it anyhow:

Context:
Multiplayer 1939 scenario
Surface Pro 4 Windows 10
Playing WarPlan in non-Windowed, full screen mode
I have two monitors, the Surface Pro 4 tablet and a 1920x1080 Acer hooked to a Surface Pro docking station
I play WarPlan on the Acer monitor

(1) I logged into the multiplayer server and started the Axis Oct 27 1939 turn
(2) I moved a bunch of units
(3) I was interrupted by something unrelated to the game and left it hanging open for hours
(4) In the meantime, my wife switched users to her user account (leaving me logged in)
(5) When I returned, hours later, I logged back into my account
(6) WarPlan was still open in the state I left it, but was unresponsive
(7) I waited quite a while and it never responded,
(8) I ended up having to killing the .exe and starting the turn over.

Not a big deal - probably low priority issue, but I thought I'd document it anyhow.

As an aside, I wonder if being able to start a turn over by killing the .exe could be an exploit of sorts... If I don't like my turn's result, I kill the .exe and start the turn over.

In any event, thanks for a great game. We're having a lot of fun with it.

Okay.
I assume it's to late to send it now because it was overwritten with info from the latest play of a turn after the crash.

The issue is repeatable - I was able to intentionally cause the bug with a hotseat game.
Here is the output_log.txt file - it shows "crash".

Yea the game did crash on user swap internally. Let me see if I can fix.


Try simple graphics setting in the opening screen.

Okay - I will try that when I have a moment.
I did notice when I restarted the game, the graphics defaulted to the lowest resolution available.

Alvaro, I will be interested to know your feedback about Unity. What kind of license do you use?

Just the free one. If you make under $200k a year you can use it. I am using the 2017 version. If I upgrade to 2019 I have to rewrite a lot of code and how they handled graphics changed. Their cost per month for a game as small as mine is a big chunk of money.

As my wife calls WarPlan - a labor of love. This isn't Minecraft ya know.

C# Unity 3d 2017 with Visual Studio which I am barely functional with.

Sweet. I use C# with Visual Studio every day for the past 15+ years. It's a very good environment. I'm clueless regarding Unity or any other game engines
