Long Range Sub Development Question

Post by scout1 »

Wondering why development activity of long range subs doesn't have any impact on the range category ?

Because it is time at sea. It has a larger supply hold of 8 vs 5. You don't have to port it as often. Subs usually have to spend 20-40% of their supply moving in and out of ports. LR Subs spend only 16-32%

So presumably the long range subs would be able to operate off the US east coast ….

Even though the US east coast isn't represented on the map ...

it is partially repped. You also need to realize other zones that you can stay out longer in vs the Allies forcing them to spread their escorts.
