So came back to the after a while

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

So came back to the after a while

I played as the Allies on max difficulty and finally won after a very long and difficult fight in Oct '46.

I played the same way close to the release (maybe one or two patches had been released) and, while I still won, the way the supply was handled made the game a terrible experience for me.

I wanted to say that the difference between the two games was amazing. The additional patches vastly improved the game. There are still some things that are really annoying that should be addressed though.

- I love the new attrition effects. Unfortunately, HQs are totally unaffected by attrition. Not only that, they can get replacements regardless of if they are in supply or not. Not sure what the reasoning is behind that but they are basically unkillable in some situations. And they can run around and capture cities at the same time.

- Air units defending in cities are still too hard to kill. I had a full strength tank attack a full strength air unit in a city and I took 3 hits and the air unit took 2. Really? Air units should be much easier to kill than they are. No matter what terrain they are in. When it is actually easier to kill them by using other air units versus overrunning them with a tank something is really wrong.

- Even in non-city terrain, air units defend too well. A single corp should do significant damage to an air unit. But even in non-city hexes it took way too much power to get rid of them.

As long as you are aware of these remaining issues, you can plan and adjust as needed. They do NOT detract from the beauty of this game with the additional work that has been done to it.

Now if this map had only been used with WaW, then that game would be even better :)
