Hi Chris,

I have the reason for your problem and maybe a possible bug:
Since Investigate unknown contacts outside the patrol area is off, your flight will not
go outside the designated area for intercept, but this might also be the possible bug since your wingman is going outside that area on his own, I leave this to a dev to reply to.

In your test example I did as you, pressed F1 and clicked the unknown contact, immediately the wingman flew out to intercept but the flight leader stuck to the path and stayed inside the patrol zone. Then as the picture below indicates I clicked the Investigate unknown contacts outside the patrol area and the leader immediately swung toward the contact and accelerated to intercept. And this is the pic below.

Then I turned the setting back off, and the leader broke off attack and turned back to patrolling inside the patrol zone again.

Lets see what the actual proper behavior is supposed to be from the team.

Fixed for the next update. Since the player has used F1/Auto-attack to designate a target for the flight, the whole flight (lead and wingmen) will go to prosecute the designated target regardless of patrol mission restrictions.
