Glitch Issue

I have been playing a scenario as the Allies against AI Axis. Got up to late June'41 and the German invasion of the USSR starts. AI finished its turn and then just keep going for six turns without allowing the Allies to move. I shutdown and went back to the last clean Save. Played up to late June'41 and the exact thing occurred once again. Also when the AI is on a roll the game is impossible to shut down. Even hitting the kill switch on the computer and rebooting does not dislodge the routine until it reaches that six turn point.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Any thoughts as to how the current game might be salvaged? Other than that War Plan has been Five Star.
