Played Hill 278 as the Axis. The situation report states the following:

Axis
American infantry will press the attack to take Hill 278 or flank to the north along the road. While our defenses may be wearing thin, a small reserve of supporting armor is now available for support. Moving tanks over hilly, rocky terrain is never ideal, but the road may provide an ideal path to launch a combined arms counterattack.

In reality, NO ARMOR UNITS, in fact, no support units whatsoever were available.
