WIE to WAW

Experienced WIE (hard) Axis player looking for first time advice for Axis(hard) play in WAW.
Familiar with ETO...need advice specifically playing the Japanese in PTO.
For the later years of the campaign...what production resources are provided automatically to Japan down the road? By knowing those resources I can plan my own purchases better in the 39/40 time frame...do I need to immediately build up my naval surface fleet strength?
Research...I assume all naval surface and air(both naval and ground) categories are essential along with amphibious capability are first on priority list....any other must haves?
Dec 41 Pearl Harbor attack a must for a successful campaign?...how big a task force needed...all carriers...all BB?
Any other strategic advice for PTO appreciated.
