Selecting attacking units? (Possible?)

I've 3 units adjacent to an enemy unit.
I want to attack with only 2 of them.

Maybe it's me being dumb - but I've not understood how I can only get 2 of them to attack.
It seems an all or 1 binary system right now.

Control and the menu on the top has the Lock Control feature unlock it...

use Shift instead or lock shift and run the mouse over the units you want to attack that will allow you to choose just want you want to attack...

I tried that but it did not worked, to hoover them with the shift pressed (it's same way as WITE so it's among the first things I tried).

I'll try again though with more insistence.

Ctrl and left click on only the units you want to attack is how you select them (Circle will surround the selected units). Then Right click on the unit you wish to attack. An odds will be displayed when your mouse moves over the unit you wish to attack. Not shown in the pic. (Odds were 8:1) All the units select must have to have an operational point available to attack.

Thanks again - I missed the CTRL business. I was just going by SHIFT.

Yeah think I messed you up there Cohen, Shift and Control... Be careful not to attack with 1 unit in a rush holding those keys.
