Recovering Ground Units for Combat

Post by btd64 »

How do I recover my Ground Units to use them in combat? Is this something I can do during each phase or at the end or beginning of a turn. I did try looking in the manual but I couldn't....GP

I assume you mean recovering from disruption? All units, except for some that are cut off, automatically unflip (so called because in the board game disrupted units were flipped over on their backs) at the end of the turn. Turn, not impulse. If you are using oil, it will cost oil, so you are given the option not to unflip some of them. You can also reorganize a few at the end of an impulse. Look up "reorganization". Doing so is one of the main uses of HQs.

OK. IIRC once a HQ is used to reorganize a Ground unit, It also needs to be reorganized, Correct? And that happens at the end of the turn, not the impulse....GP

Correct.

Normally when you attack with land units you want to make at the beginning of turn attacks with high odds (or 100%) and at late turn you can take risks disorganizing units. Once HQs are used for reorg, they can't move forward to provide supply for units to advance. Specially during summer turns May/June and July/August when weather is good and turns are most likely longer.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

May/June... good weather... I am wondering what that is like. [:D] [;)]
