Thanks Zap!

Now I know why I gave up modeling and miniatures for board war games and PC war games!

I never had the patience nor the skills to put the models together and paint them properly. I was of course 13-15 and got frustrated when gluing and painting.

As far as miniatures same with the artwork and with the storage of the lead figures.

I have always admired those that can create these wonderful creations but I am just not gifted here.

Hence I gravitated to reading manuals and playing things like Europa and ASL. Lol

That Stalingrad diorama is a massive amount of work. Stunning.

Very impressive, and it is a miniatures environment too which surprised me.

Play with Legos 10% of the time.
Build models 20% of the time
Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

We used the florist's styroform many years ago when I played with the then legendary Bish Iwaszko:

All credit to the Stalingrad man to do his detail too.

Edit: The crane at the 6.52 point in the video looks very similar to the one at St Vaast in my link ! :)

This is beautiful.

But the problem with diorama is the dust. I did a diorama once and didn't think about this problem at all. As a result, due to the dust problem, the lack of space, ... I switch to PC and to Combat Mission to play in 3D.

Are there not small vacuums for computer key boards or other such small things. Might that work.

Nice little walls, floors and roofs. They have much details in the framing of buildings. There are cranes, trains, airplanes and train tracks. They can remove and add walls. All these things would be good for carpentry explanations of how houses are built. Nice little model buildings - some even have details like separate boards of wood.

Greetings to All,
For such a great Stalingrad diorama I was motivated to try a Combat Mission Red Thunder landscape mod Stalingrad-Not one step back.
The link below contains a short video the creator of the mod posted in battlefront forums:
