Should the Americans more prepared

In pbem early 1917 Italy,France low morale. Russia and Serbia surrendered. Britain lost Egypt but not Basra. US entered war and has advantage accelerated research but no troops does it matter. Thanks.

That is right, as they entered the war with a very small army and had to build it up quickly, which is why it took about a year before any US troops arrived in Europe after they entered the war in April 1917.

Of course, some units can be bought prior to them entering the war, but it's not necessarily the best thing to do with limited MPPs as some research might be better.
