what are logistics in this game and how am I supposed to buy anything as Italy?

There are only three things that matter in war ... Logistics, Logistics, and Logistics.

Logistics = supply. Beans, Bullets, Fuel etc. The sort of things that soldiers and armies actually need to fight and move.

Italy: Bad luck. Italy is an economic basket case. Either save up over many turns to buy *anything at all* (assuming you have turned reinforcements/upgrades OFF for all units if you are not engaged in combat) OR get Germany to Lend Lease you PP ... of which she (does not) have a plethora.

Logistics = built capacity for the industrial/military complex of that nation

Germany/USSR/UK/USA/France Majors and Italy a Minor-Major. But since it's ETO and has a Navy and Airforce and lots of men which it did have it can play a role, which it did.

Italy makes what a year in game? 1000 production or a bit less? Not sure but that's not 'nothing', wait and build. Could be 3 Armor, 3 Fighters, 3 Close Air Support. Whatever...

Save up and build Mountain Corps. The small corps are too fragile to help with much.

They garrison ports.
