Obviously they had no warheads or small ones on those missiles.

I'm all for a similar analysis from western media/blogs. I'll wait why you get it and share for us. Or take the time to critique the SATIMAGES.

I read it and it doesn't look biases

It seems that "rest of the world" is starting to catch up with the west regarding missile accuracy

And I really hope this thread remains out of politics

I must admit I didn't read the "analysis" (and I'm not going to), I just looked at the banner and thought wtf? So I googled it and you can see the first page of the search. I really am not interested in what "Empire" is at war with Russia or why. Fair enough?

The Strategy Page ( https://www.strategypage.com/qnd/iran/a ... 00116.aspx ) has an analysis of the Iranian missile strikes, saying they "backfired in a big way".
I don't know their ideological alignment, but here is a cheat sheet from Dr. Strangelove.

"Strategy page" deals mostly with the politics, which I hope won't end in this forum

there is only a small paragraph saying "Iranian missiles were not very reliable or accurate", but it is not adding any support on that statement, other than the fact it didn't cause human casualties.

For an airbase that is the size of a small city, we should expect to see craters in open spaces, if the missiles were inaccurate (think about Saddam's scuds) instead they hit specific buildings

When Iran hits US and allied targets ( for example Finns where in those shelters), Russia and China are hitting US and allied targets.
the
Iran is their proxy, they wanted to send a message together, that is also behind the accuracy and possibly limiting the warheads, it was a presentation of capability.

*edited as not particularly helpful to calming it down!*

If you want to believe conspiracy websites, that is 100% up to you, but the forum rules are very clear and you breach them with this kind of stuff.

The green button has served me well with the occasional spammers, foul-mouthed malcontents and Putin-bots that wash up on these shores. I'd advise everybody to consider the benefits of using it early and often with repeat offenders.

I agree with you. We underestimate their capabilities at our own peril. We WitP-AE players should understand this better than most.[:)]

So Finns were on base...coincidence? Maybe Russians still looking for a little revenge. [;)]

Finns are officially training the Kurds on company level tactics, the Dutch leaked before that the Finnish SOF are operating with the US, British and Australian colleagues.

Different author, same conclusion.

A Harvard-trained geologist and former aide to the United States Chief of Naval Operations, Byron King is our resident gold and mining expert, and we are proud to have him on board as the managing editor of Whiskey & Gunpowder.

This “old rock hound” uses his expertise and connections in global resource industries to bring you the very best opportunities in mining, precious metals and energy. Byron also draws upon first-hand knowledge of the world of high-tech industries gains during his military career. Yet all that knowledge and experience is combined with a down-to-earth, common-sense approach that is easy to understand.

Byron’s ahead-of-the-curve insights have drawn attention over the years. He’s made frequent appearances in mainstream media such as The Washington Post, MSN Money, Marketwatch.com, Fox Business News, CNBC’s Squawk Box, Larry Kudlow, Glenn Beck and PBS’s NewsHour. He also wrote a feature article published in the Financial Times, and has appeared on both CNN and Marketplace radio broadcasts.
