Source for WWII and earlier maps

Post by HvMoltke »

Hi Ae-addicted fellows
As I reached now mid 1942 in my game Allied vs AI, I begin to get sort of annoyed about all those roads and railways leading to nowhere.
I found AndyMacs map scen 33 with a lot more bases which helps a little, but I´m still not satisfied.
First question: Is there a good source for maps of the Pacific War area?
Second: How do I copy data in the editor from one scenario to a new one? There is a copy & paste button but I can`t use it properly.
Thanx for any help

Roads, and terrain are defined in map file. You can use PWHEXE editor for that, but it is not very stable. You should talk with el cid, he made separate maps for every year, and season. I bet he have access to all historical maps.

If you want to move data between Scenarios, you would have to extract files into EXCEL format, using witploadAE. Some work is needed, as you have to change those EXCEL files back into game format.

I tried to find a valid link to the PWEXE editor tool, but didn`t succeed.
The advice to contact el cid is a realy good idea, but is that okay for him?
