Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. F

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. F

Post by terminator »

Setting :

For information, here is the difficulty I chose to test Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. F (Difficulty = Normal + Weather + Fog of war + Supply, the same as for Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. A, B, C, D & E):

If the problem with water colour differs in center and beach hexes has disappeared with this computer, there was a problem with the music that disappeared at the launch of the game but this was solved after some launch.

Hi terminator,

glad to see the landscape problem has disappeared. I suspected it was an issue with your machine as it did not occur anywhere else, but seeing it confirmed is comforting.[;)]

Minsk 1941 (2/2)

Until now I have had only Brilliant victories or Defeats. I wanted to try to have a Normal victory (Delay the enemies' advance) that is not very obvious to get.

You are making good progress in the campaign. Do you intend to play until the end for testing ? Because then we should discuss the deadline. As of now i plan to finish 1.09 on Sunday if i am fit enough, or one of the following days if i am too tired from my breadwinning job. Just let me know if you feel you need a bit more time.

Hi Ronald,

My goal is to test the southern path, this is where there was the most problem (Vienna scenario).
I manage to test 1-2 scenarios a day and I have 8 scenarios left.

Hi terminator,

as i do not mind a few more days of polishing i would say i extend the deadline to next Friday (10.4.2020). Until then i wait and see what comes up in terms of small issues and errors. Then i start fixing them. If there is no big disfunction found, i will go on building the final release.

Sea of Azov(1/4)

Many bugs remain in this scenario...

Event DnieperCrossing not corrected (Reached by Aircraft).
I did not deploy any Soviet aircraft in this scenario because no airfield and no enemy aircraft and therefore this event never triggered...

Sea of Azov(2/4)

Event CuttOffCrimea is not mentioned anywhere in the objectives and moreover we do not know what reward this objective yields ?

Sea of Azov(4/4)

Impossible to obtain a Brilliant Victory, as soon as 5 units are placed on the marked hexagons we immediately obtain a Normal Victory (turns condition bug):

Hi terminator,

that's embarrassing such an error is still in the campaign. But it's great that you still found it. I am glad you are testing so thoroughly - thanks. [:)]
