Death of leaders

Playing Axis vs. Allies Europe early Italian Option: I cornered two British headquarter units; after bombing and combat destroyed them and of course nothing, no report at the beginning of the turn. It would be nice to announce that such and such famous or infamous British or Allied commander was killed or captured.
As mentioned the game needs a little pizzazz!
I am in May of 1942 and I have not gotten any reports on any of MY commanders during battles, far and wide.
