I cant unload in harbor

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

at a rough guess its those 102 support units, each has a load and in combination its all far too much for the port capacity, I think you need to take the HQ back to the UK and assign some of the SUs up the chain. Send the HQ over and then re-attach the SUs.

Your Transportation Cost, 83,818, is larger than the Port Capacity, you see that inside the anchor symbol above the Port in F3 mode. It is definitely the assigned SUs. As you Assign them to other HQs you can watch your Transport Cost go down until it is below the capacity of the port you're landing at, then you can land.

Yes, 68 in the port symbol = 68,000 port capacity.

Fritzfarlig,

Because this is likely due to user inexperience, I recommend you go into the Assigned tab and manually transfer least important units to SHAEF until you get down to a transport size that allows you to unload the HQ in the port. I don't think this is "gamey" or a cheat given you didn't realize the problem.
