Operation Axis event: Germany takes control of Italy

Post by xwormwood »

When Operation Axis triggers, Germany only takes control of Italy itself, but not the italian controlled european countries like Yugoslavia, Albania or Greece.
Result: the Allies "free" these countries the instantly once Operation Axis triggers.

Suggestion: Germany should take control of all italian controlled european countries, too.

Does it depend which country conquered them to begin with?

Yep, if Germany took it, than they remain under control, if Italy, they become free and ready to transport troops into the near perfect ports. In one of my games Italy dropped below the German takeover limit with the US entry at the start of the allied turn. So i just had to transport troop into a pristine and empty Rome, and Albania and Greece, no Italian landings and other issues, just sailed in without trouble.

If nothing else, the supply drop from switching sides should happen, so the ports are not ready to accept transports without delay instantly.
