Scenario Editor file formatting

Post by ineffable »

The Scenario Editor adds one empty line after the line for Can Dig In entry when creating a custom battle (4.1). The game expects at least 3 empty lines after the Can Dig In entry for non-custom battles (3). These lines are used for the 'Advance to X' and 'Retreat to Y' entries. However, when making a mod, if you create a custom battle and re-purpose it to be part of a new operation or campaign (4.1->3) it causes a runtime error unless you add 2 more empty lines to the scenario file.

If the Scenario Editor would automatically add the 3 empty lines after the Can Dig In entry to custom battle files it will save more than a few man-hours of troubleshooting in the future.

BTW, thanks for fixing that issue where saved games would ignore their .bsf script
