ASW TF continually disbands

Why do my ASW TF continually disband? Should they not just return to base for re-fuel and re-arm and not disband all the time ....?

How big is the port, do you have any support ships & is there supply and fuel available to be loaded?

Also, what ships are in the ASW TF?

that's one of the strange routines of the game, same as literally undamaged subs disbanding when coming to their homeport to refuel/rearm. Have seen subs with 1 point of sys disband due to damage. [8|] ASW TFs do the same, then you have to recreate them spending another dozen pp to change the TF commander.

Just make sure that the ships have good commanders and don't worry about a special TF commander. At least not for the ASW TFs.

ASW TFs, particularly those little SCs will tend to disengage and head to port with minimal engine damage. Simply repair them in port and send them back out again.

This is annoying, yes. My impression is that ASW TFs would autodisband at home port when accumulating some damage at sea and returning for refuel. The damage is not nearly critical, and that's why it is annoying

What is annoying is when one ship runs out of DCs and the TF does not go back to port to re-arm.
