Computer Taking Over Subs

Post by Richard III »

Computer taking over S-boats in Pearl, sending them to Brisbane. This has happened the last 5 turns. 4 clicks each turn on each unit, to stop it is a PITA. This breaks the Game for me and I never saw it with earlier versions.

This is with a new ( $79 [8|] **purchase of the Game** from Matrix / new install, adding of the last Vanilla Patch, then the Beta A patch ( Beta B does not show installed ) This is on a new Win 10 machine with 12 gigs of RAM.

I was an earlier enabler of WITP, talking with the Devs and Garry, and then AE so I know a bit about the Game functions, which were very stable then, after a few years in development.

I really hope someone can help, if any of the old guys are around. In our present conditions, I don`t want to be unhappy.

Thanks
Richard

You have to turn off "Auto Sub Ops" I forget which screen. But you have to do it before you start a scenario....GP

I second btd64. Don't let the KempetAI run your USN sub operations!

Not sure about the need to restart. I think you can change it after starting and give the subs orders.

Try the second button from the left at the top of the map screen (Preferences).

Thanks very much guys, the re-set works in game, glad I didn`t quick at Dec 27. Guess I need to re read the docs[;)] Would have missed a night gun fight between Houston and 4 DD`s and Maya with 3 DD`s near Java. The surface actions seem more realistic ( bloody ) in this version, epecially with Royal Navy units.
