There is an obscure 1979 book about the Nisei who worked as interpreters called "Yankee Samurai". I used to have copy. I specifically remember a mention of MIS men who were attached to Merrill's Marauders. https://www.amazon.com/Yankee-Samurai-A ... 0933680112
