5th Chinese Corps

Post by Yaab »

This big Chinese infantry corps starts the game broken into several subunits with lousy experience. However, Tracker tells me, that once the corps is recombined, its experience jumps to 70 points (sic!). Did anyone see this corps's experience jump to 70 experience points when united in-game?

I think that is the one that got stuck in India and trained for a long time.

Experience of a combined LCU is always a weighted average of parts, never seen it behaving the other way. So xp does not play a role in a scenario if set for a combined unit, it is a function which can change in game and depends on parts.
Tracker is wrong and that's it

Are you sure that was the experience that jumped, and not the Morale just above or below it? Morale always jumps higher when a large unit is made out of smaller ones.

Nothing jumped, the question was about future Tracker stats not actual game stats

Allied players, can you just check your Trackers and confirm if the combined 5th Corps is 30-something exp (weighted average) or 70 exp (Tracker starting info)? Thanks.

When combining it, it’s always been the weighted average.

Tracker is not wrong. Tracker gets at-start unit information from the game editor. The editor lists 5th Chinese Corps (unit 7795) as having an experience of 70, and a morale of 80. However, you are correct, in-game combined experience is weighted. When I combined the units, 5th Corps had an experience of 32, and morale of 33.
