has anyone tried to move the entire 15th US airforce to France in January 1945
to intensify the bombing of Germany? can there be disadvantages?

its a good idea. Place it around Paris and it shouldn't mess up your supply lines.

The gain is you avoid the Alps (extra fatigue/op losses in winter) and can still easily bomb S Germany. You can also double up with 8 AAF if that suits your strategy.

exactly my thought, I have Marseilles port for supplies,
the Russians have taken the Romanian oil field, I think too, there is risk OP loss over the Alps,
and I get better escort coverage of my bombings
and have the capacity in surplus between the bombraids they can help at the front
