Is there a way to tell in the PBEM interface on which patch level a game has been created or, better, on which patch level the last game turn has been executed since your opponent can change the patch level after starting its first turn?

Agree. I asked for the same a few months ago. Ended up accepting a challenge from an older version which I had zero interest in continuing.

All right, so I have just find that the system allows to accept a PBEM challenge, me 1.00.072 and my opponent obviously using 1.00.06. Is there a way to detect / prevent this?

I've asked that a few times. Very frustrating for both sides.

I was told it should auto detect the versions by Matrix. It shouldn't allow different versions to play. I'll ask again. I didn't write how their PBEM++ system works. I had to integrate it into WarPlan. Maybe I misread and I am responsible for it.

Thus, confirmed. My opponent has started a PBEM game with 1.00.06. My game version is 1.00.072 and the challenge was accepted.

Since the game was created under 1.00.06, the Russian Rifle Corps is back to 180PP plus old attributes for example...
