If you have trouble with new fixed '39 scenario

Post by sillyflower »

I updated to .07 which works fine, except for the problem identified by Flavius: the Russian inf xxx losing their new guns when Barbarossa starts.

Alvaro sent me a fixed version of the '39 scenario, which solves the problem once it is installed. Unfortunately, I was unable to install it despite a LOT of help form Avaro for which I'm most grateful [&o]. The scenarios weren't where they should be and could not be found. Whether this was because I still use W7, or I am technologically retarded, or both, I have no idea, because I am technically retarded.

Alvaro's solution was to have my new PvP games set up by my opponent after they have installed the fix. I've tested this and it has worked perfectly. Turn 1 sveint did not move any of his evil minions. My turn the same but confirmed that soviet inf and cav xxx both had the correct new TOEs. T2 Barbarossa launched but again no axis movement. No doubt fortified by this, the soviet inf xxx held their nerve and did not throw away their new guns. Problem solved!

I have offered sveint the option of carrying on normally, rather than going to the trouble of a restart. However, I'm not confident that he will fall for that.

Is this the fix in the "russian rifle corp" thread?

Technically no but flower had a hard time finding the right directory to place it in. I suspect his PC is over protected with hidden locations or something.

Sorry I do not understand this thread. I was able to install the patched scenario and they are running fine on my side.
