Heavy artilley

Post by ReneTS »

I thought having this specialization would automatically lower the entrenchment level with each attack. But I just had a unit attack two times with this specialization, and the enemy unit still had level 2 entrenchment after. So how is the odds of reducing entrenchment with heavy artilley calculated?

I believe it ignores some of the entrenchment. The defenses are not destroyed and other units will still have to fight them, but the unit with the Artillery acts as if they are not there.

That is correct. It impacts the whole combat so effectively it helps everyone attacking.

What is correct? Only the unit that has Heavy artillery gets the bonus or all involved attacking Corps/Divisions?

Thanks for the answer, I have been uncertain whether you only need one heavy artillery attached to one corps and then all participating corps get the bonus. Sounds good that only the one with the attached gets the bonus, I like heavy artillery. It really makes a difference in offensive battles.

Only 1 corps. Since I noted there was no retreat value chart in the rules I added this to the current rules. Later this week I will upload the new beta.

With respect to the Combat Odds Multiple, does this mean that at 1:1 there is a 15% Retreat Chance, at 2:1 a 30% chance, at 3:1 a 45% Chance, etc?
