Roads

1) Needs initially to be built from the SHQ and then on from the existing road network

2) Ensure you have sufficient Industrial Points. Roads through rough terrain are EXPENSIVE ! (My first game places me in the middle of what appears to be some ancestor of the Amazon so I feel the pain [:)] )

Can it be that you cannot build a road through terrain that was only just this turn added to your territory? A village of Freemen joined me, I moved a unit to connect our areas, then I tried to build a road to the village, but I couldn't build in the new area, a road arrow only showed up in my old territory. Next turn however I could build that road without problem.
