Is there any way to remove roads?

What thread title says. I can't find anything in manual or in game itself (then again wouldn't be first time I managed to miss the obvious). Could be handy to clean up random roads you don't need that AI built to supply their troops in your territory or in general to clean up your infrastructure and make it look pretty [;)] .

I'd also be interested to know, because I ended up taking control of a zone where the AI had built a spaghetti of roads and I had a hard time figuring the logistics due to the big amount of branches in the network. Getting rid of some superfluous roads would have helped.
