AI Fog of War

Does the AI play by that rule as the human player? Do they actually need to scout and act accordingly or do they have a maphack? I'd love to start a new game with complete FoW, more clasic 4X but I don't want a cheating AI that brakes all immersion.

In the page 346 of the manual you can see the differences between players and AI, however, it doesnt mention the Fog of War.

From the state of art of wargame AI, one can know that you have either a strategically very stupid AI, or the AI gets some extra senses.

Because game AI's are not smart enough to come even close to outguess its human opponent.

I don't know what cheat factors Vic uses, but I accept extra senses for the AI if that makes them seem a little bit smart.
