Cc2

Post by Reddog »

Since EYSAS is now in development at Matrix and Eric had a Major role in the development of cc2 i would like to make an invitation to all those old CC2 players and even to Eric to revisit the game at the msn zone to enjoy a blast from the past.A lot of old vets have returned of late -socks,hammer,church[even tho he never left] and others. At tournament House there has been a refreshing of the game with added maps and several patch upgrades. This is an old game which still attracts a hardcore ,but small following and i urge all old vets to drop in and say hi sometime.

The only feature CC2 has which is superior to the other 4 games in the series, is the lay out of the Grand Campaign.

If you join the others make sure you play a grand campaign online because its wonderful.

But, if instead you are going to play individual battles or a small operation, CC5 beats it hands down. “Leaves it for dead” and “chalk and cheese” also come to mind.

CC1 is for fun.
CC2 for the Grand Campaign
CC3 for the feel of a 4 year campaign – your battle group takes so many losses the player can feel the attrition. I can’t emphasis this too much.
CC4 – The panzers broke through and you can feel the US despair until they can mount a counterattack.
CC5 – the feel of an infantry platoon fighting an enemy infantry platoon. The best yet representation of minor infantry tactics.

I am amazed that people are still playing CC2. But if its for the grand campaign then good luck to you but if its not – why bother?

Somewhere to play

At least CC2 is still hosted on the zone:D As i said ,all were welcome, even you JOE.This is by no means an attempt to sell the game ,it still does that by itself, but gives an opportunity for those who have not seen it or those who have and found it fun to return and enjoy some fun against a community which still treats all as equal.CC2 is what all games should strive for -that is its longevity and the fact that the game in its original format can still be found to play MP.This is a tribute to the dev team that the game is still active and still welcomes new players. The only mods to date that are used in multiplayer games are really enhancements and not mods at all.Data has been tweaked to give more accuarate ammo loads and armor thickness and smoke enhancement and sound /cammo patches for eye candy, all which can be played against the original without causing interface problems. This is not a post declaring an old game the best around but merely an invitation to refresh old friendships or start new ones.:)
