Problem with XP/laptop

Post by AmoraaliPiett »

Greetings

After discovering my long ago favourite game from the net, I immediately rushed to install it to my laptop.

Here's the problem :

After launching the game from wir.exe the program loads properly, but all the numbers/special characters are a mess.

So, what might be the problem? I've tried both 3.3 and 3.2 versions, with similar results.

The laptop is Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A, if it helps any (xp-pro)

Thank you in advance

Hi Martti,

You appear to have the same problem that users of Compaq laptops have had. For them, a flash bios update fixed the problem. I think your best bet would be to see if there is a flash bios update available for your laptop and install it to see if it helps. If not, you may need to contact the laptop company about updating their bios to add in old font or display support - I don't remember exactly what was missing in the bios to cause this problem. Good luck and welcome back :D .
