Supply Confusion

My longtime opponent and friend Will and I have recently moved over to try the new generation of SC games. It's proving a new and interesting experience!

One source of a lot of confusion is my supply situation in NA, as the Brits.

This picture shows "This turns supply overlay"

And this shows the actual supply of one unit. It should have 6, but it has 4. Many units have the same issue.

What's going on?

Also, a follow-up question. The manual says that "Oil, Mine and Settlement resource types do not provide suppply..."

What are settlement resource types? Went through the map of Russia and didnt find anything that looked like settlements that didnt give supply

Found the answer to the original question, but cant seem to delete the thread .

Still wondering about settlements though.

Settlements do provide supply though. There is also a settlement right beside Stalingrad.
