Even now our glorious forces are being assembled together ready to drive the fascists from our land.

I am pleased to report that although the enemy seems to have vast reserves of artillery, judging by the size of the area covered, his initial bombardment MISSED its target.
We took at least 4 concentrations of arty fire with one straddling forward elements of our forces. This did no damage, due to our forces superb training and quick reaction times as well as his poor aim.
Already our recon groups are reporting back on his dispositions and strength, and we are preparing to throw his forces back to berlin.
We await to send our scouts report of his force axis.

NEWS FLASH

PRAVDA daily reports that the enemy commander has been sacked!! In a late breaking story General Klinkenhoffen has been replaced by General Kokoda.
We can only assume that this is further evidence of the NAZI tyrant Hitler careless disregard for life including his own generals!
We the Soviet people and patriotic forces are only too happy to help liberate the German people from this madman who brutally represses them and all others.
We will redouble our current effect against this NEW NAZI puppet General (Kokoda) and throw him back to Berlin, like his predessor.

PRAVDA is pleased to announce that our glorious motherlands forces have met with the enemy and are dealing him a blow he will not forget.
Today (turn 2) we have destroyed 4 x Skdfz/1 and 1 x Skdfz/10 as well as a MMG team. In addition we have suppressed a number of rifle squad and stunned a Pz IV G and scared a lone Skdfz 222 guarding the enemys victory hexes.
Our forces have captured all the Southern victory hexes (at 15 points each by 4) as well as one central VP and 2 of the Northern VP's.
Marshall Pbhawkin has ordered extra vodka for all sub-unit commanders.
We now call our artillery on to his force concentrations.

Centre: Mech Inf Platoon cowering and smoking - helps the nerves. Nothing else I want to say about the centre.

Scouts report that the T-34 previously immobilised by prep bombardment is now repaired. So the Russian "Nyah Nyah, you missed!" taunt was clearly fabricated.

Further news from our forces at the front.
Our recon and intel have provided us with good evidence of the enemies strength and composition as well as strategy.
It seems our forces are up against a Armoured Pz Grenadier Coy in support of a squadron of Pz IV Gs. There appear to be some AT and AA elements as well.
We are pleased to announce that our forward troops have taken ALL Victory Hexes and have moved on to engage the enemy with our rear troops employed to overwatch these VH's.
In the South there has been a general retreat of enemy units with his rear elements also being heavily engaged by our fast moving forces.
In the centre we have captured the town and have his own VH in sight. Although we have met some resistance here and have lost a T34 who tried to bypass a pak40) hidden in an ambush position in a side street).
In the North there is much confused fighting as our forces clash just West of the VHs.
Details so far:
we have lost 2 T34 during his push on the Northern VHs with their riding infantry temporarily stunned by a fast counterattack of 3 PzIVGs and 2 platoons of PZ grenadiers. In retaliation we have destroyed 4 Skdfz 251/1 and their riding infantry as well as one Skdfz 250/10 and seen a Skdfz 250/9 have their main armament immobilised. We lost 2 T34s in the process.
In the centre we have located his HQ and taken out 2 Skdfz 6 heavy transports (of Pak 40s) as well as one Skdfz 222. Again a T34 was surprised by a Pak40 hiding in a building but no damage was suffered.
In the South We have engaged his rearguard of a platoon of Pz Grenadiers and destroyed 2 Skdfz 251/1.

ADDIT: resting T34 in the rear (who had been observing enemy artillery) has decided to try to locate said artillery and give them some advice first hand.

In the north the german invader has counter-counter attacked with 8 Pz IV Gs. This has caused us to regroup our SMG squads as well as the loss of 2 T34s and one abandoned. We have however knocked out 2 of his Panzers and a Skdfz 251/10 and 251/9 as well as eliminted numerous scattered groups of crew and infantry.
In the centre he has destroyed a T34 while we have killed 2 Pak 40s and their crew along with a sniper. We have also moved to positions that allow us to assault the flank of his southern prong as well as threaten his own VHs and HQ.
In the south he has destroyed 2 T34 recon elements for the loss of a Pz IV G. This southern prong, currently hiding in the forest, seems to be a mirror of the northern effort.

The climax approaches.
In the South not much to report except i have taken out 3 Skdfz 251/1 (and crews) and taken out a few men in a HMG and rifle squad as well as tried to observe where some of his armour has gone. So far missing 2 Pz IV Gs but know where 3 others are.
In the centre I lost a KV1 making a run on his victory hexes to one of 3 Pak 40s but took out a Skdfz 222 (this turn and during his turn) and have located all hidden Pak 40s and another 222.
In the North I have destroyed his Southern flanking manouever (2 Pz IVgs, a 251/1 (including crews) and a coulpe of rifle squads as well as disabled a Skdfz 10-4). I lost a T34 trying to be too aggressive on his Northern pincer but have discovered he only has two Pz IV Gs left and another that is immobilised.
I still control all VH.
Await and see if he makes a run on the Southern Vh's or tries to protect his Home VH from my probe.

In the North we have destroyed a Skdfz 10/4 and crew along with a Skdfz GRW 9 morter and crew. we have destroyed his immobilised Pz IV G as well as it's protecting rifle squad. His two remaining Pz IV G are both routed. We had lost a T34 abandoned but hope its crew will remount (if they survive). Another of our abandoned T34 was remounted to increase our Northern strength. We have secured these VH and are redeploying to help other forces in the AO.
In the centre things are moving slowly. His Pak 40 hidden in the burning house has been destroyed (no sign of the crew yet), and we have destroyed a couple of Skdfz 222s during his turn. our centre is taking fire from a (now located) sniper as well as from the 2 remaining Pak 40s (one of which has suffered casualties). We have infantry moving to eliminate them now. And should have control of his VHs soon.
In the South he has moved in force towards the southern VHs with 3 Pz IV Gs, a Skdfz 10/4, 2 GRW 9 morters and 3 Skdfz 251/1 with rifle squads.
We have had some communications problems and as yet have had difficulty in organising a coordinated defence. He has however lost a skdfz 10/4 (which was flank protection along with a Pz IV G) and we have cleaned up some loose rifle squads just to the North West of these VH.
His constant morter barrage is covering most of the area and this can only work in our advantage as we sneak closer to him.
We expect to thin his ranks over the next few turns with our pincers as they take out his flank protection and leave him cut off.

Northern VHs are secure with all enemy wiped out. We cleaned up a few stragglers in the form of crew as well as a rifle squad and MMG squad.
In the centre we are advancing on his VHs with a number of squads and armoured vehicles and destroyed a couple of crew as well as a sniper that was sneaking up on the centre VH (he didn't expect them to be guarded!!) His 2 Pak40s have been reinforced by a Pz IV G but it will have to content itself with long range fire on our rifle squads unless it wants to take on superior numbers of armour!
In the south he has advanced up to the Southern VH and taken 3 out of 4 as well as destroyed a KV1 and shocked another. In return we have destroyed 2 Skdfz 251/1s and crew as well as a rifle squad and hit another hard. Also destroyed a 251/10 and engaged a MMG and Skdfz 10/4. Visability is down to a few hexes in places and our reinforcements are about to hit.
Next turn should see his forces retreting to Berlin!

In the North 1 T34 re-rewed whilst another crew has gone missing!! presumable dead by an unknown enemy. We have a mixed force in the area investigating. All enemy in this sector are believed to have been killed.
In the Centre we continue to push towards the VHs, they are in reach now. His screening force of Pak40s and a Pz IV G were neutralised by smoke this turn, although I did lose a T34 to a lucky shot! Intel reports that I have destroyed his HQ vehicle and perhaps even the HQ unit itself. A small force is investigating.
In the South we have destroyed a Pz IV G and rifle squad as well as a Skdfz 251/9 and retreated another rifle squad and MMG.
We are about to spring the trap closed and destroy the elements of his force that are threatening the VHs. The two morter carriers and flak 10/4 will be attended to afterwards.

Intel from the front.
In the North we have located and destroyed his final sniper.
A T34 is off exploring on his own unable to receive orders!
The centre we have captured 3 out of 4 of his home VHs and are preparing to assault his 2 Pak40s and Pz IV G.
In the South we have located and destroyed 2 rifle squads as well as pinning 2 others. Our forces have also engaged the final Skdfz 10/4 flak with little damage as yet. We have lost a scout team to probably his Pz IV Gs as well as a 'stunned' Kv-1 and 2 'stunned' rifle squads. Our reinforcements have arrived and are manouvering to pre-planned positions to launch the final knockout blow into his few remaining forces.
Communications with the Fascist commander suggest he is a die hard Nazi and will fight to the death!
It is believed if he surrended his family back home would be shot by the gestapo and so he is faced with no alternative but to fight!!

I don't claim my intel is great (particularly since Kol Klinkenhoffen does not value scouts), but I should point out that Marschall pbhawkinovich has twice recorded the elimination of my forces in the North. Eventually this will be true, I expect. I don't find his premature ejaculations of success confusing, but the forum might.

I must deny the outrageous claims that I am a die hard Nazi whose family would be shot by the Gestapo. I am a passionate German fighting for my country after the appalling restrictions and spiteful unfairness of the Treaty of Versailles.

I think it was Kol Klinkenhoffen who suggested that Marschall pbhawkinovich's reports were based on the style of the Iraqi Information Minister. I now lean to this view myself. I might observe that while we bag the Iraqi Info Minister, the stated rationale for the Iraq invasion (WMD) appears to be devious fantasy too! We all know the first casualty of war, but in some cases it appears that the death of truth predates the war.

At the risk of flaming...

It was Kipling (I think) who wrote an appropriate epitaph for the graves of WWI soldiers...

In the North we have located and engaged the enemys last sniper(?), and suspect that there is the remains of a rifle squad about. To all intents the enemy has been wiped from the face of the Northern AO, with only mopping up operations in progress. Enemy propaganda is trying to suggest that his Northern forces are still active despite then cowering in some foxhole somewhere.
In the centre the final 'home' VH of his has fallen without loss. Our push on his entrenched Pak 40s and Pz IV has began.
In the South we had knocked out the flak 10/4 (during his turn) which we had engaged previously. Our forces then surrounded his 2 remaining Pz IV Gs and Skdfz 251/1 and destroyed 1 Panzer and the 251/1 along with their crew. We also eliminated the flak crew and caused a number of casualties to a rifle squad.
We took a few rifle casualties this turn, the worst (and most surprising) was when he fired a vehicle MG at one of my KV-1s and caused a richochet to kill 3 men in the same location!
Our reinforcements in the form of numerous KV-1's and smg and engineer squads will make it hard for him to fight on. He still has tenacious hold of the 4 Southern VH but this will not last another turn! Our forces will begin searching for his 2 GWR morter vehicles soon.
